What I love most about my profession is engaging with people, helping others, and making my patients laugh. I have developed wonderful relationships with people I may not have known otherwise. Surprising my patients with comfort when they expected to be in pain is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.
Working with such an incredible and professional team makes coming to work a real joy. Our team has exceptional training, a respect for each other and their patients, and is fully committed to patient care and comfort.
I received my Bachelor of Sciences degree in Preventive Medicine at The University of Washington in 1970. I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1974, and was Valedictorian in my class. I went on to complete a three-year preceptorship in Reconstructive Dentistry at The University of Washington from 1977 to 1980. I later earned a Master of Fine Arts degree at Warren Wilson College, North Carolina in 1990.
I enjoy keeping current with continuing education. I am a restorative advisor for the Seattle Study Club, and a lecturer and presenter at dental study groups in the United States and Canada. In addition, I am constantly searching for the most advanced techniques in dentistry and plan on continuing to participate in ongoing education so I can maintain clinical excellence and high interest in my career.
I currently reside in Seattle, WA, and have two grown sons and four grandchildren. In my spare time, I have written and published poetry, participated in masters ski racing, and taken up gardening and landscaping. I am also active when it comes to community involvement and have volunteered and donated to the Centrum Foundation for the Arts. In addition, I am vice chair and director for a local Snohomish County community bank. A fourth generation Washingtonian, I love the Pacific Northwest
